3. What is the difference between CEF levels and ALTE guidelines? Do inlingua programs adhere to CEF and ALTE guidelines?
The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, often referred to as CEFR or CEFRL or CEF, is an international guideline used to describe achievements of learners of foreign languages across Europe and, increasingly, in other countries. The Common European Framework divides learners into three broad divisions that can be divided into six levels; for each level, it describes what a learner is supposed to be able to do in reading, listening, speaking and writing. The following table indicates these levels.

ALTE (Association of Language test providers in Europe) is an association of language test providers who work together to promote the fair and accurate assessment of linguistic ability across Europe and beyond. ALTE has established a set of common standards which cover all the stages of the language testing process. These standards can be applied to exams of any language, and ensure the quality of examinations.

4. Are inlingua trainers certified ?
Yes, inlingua has a team of highly experienced, professional trainers comprising of both Indians and native speakers. All our trainers are certified in the inlingua method of teaching languages. Many of them have travelled widely or lived in different countries and are exposed to the language and culture of the place. They all have native or near native language fluency in their respective languages combined with a high level certification in the language they are teaching.
5. Does inlingua train in exam preparation ?
Yes, inlingua provides training for the below mentioned examinations. Students who enroll for our regular language programs would be able to appear for these examinations. Apart from the regular group classes, customised, one-on-one training for specific exam preparation is also available.

6. What is the Fee structure for the inlingua programs ?
Please contact our office for the fee structure or refer the website. The fee is available in the batch schedules on the language section. inlingua course fee includes the exam and inlingua certification charges.
7. Does inlingua provide Demo classes ?
Yes, demo class is provided for the online courses. The first session can be attended using the demo coupon code issued by the office post which the student can enrol for the batch by completing the online payment procedures. The seats are filled on a first come, first served basis.
8. What is the age limit for inlingua classes?
Regular inlingua programs are designed for adults. Children above the age of 12 years can attend our regular programs in both classroom and Virtual classrooms. There are seperate customised programs available for children in the age group of 7 years to 11 years.
9. What are the inlingua Terms & Conditions?
1. The course fee must be paid in full at least 7days prior to the commencement of the course. Admission would be given on a first come first serve basis.
2. Fee once paid is valid for a period of six months before which the course has to be completed or else the admission stands canceled and the fee will not be refunded.
3. The minimum number of students required to start a group batch is 8. If there are inadequate registrations, the batch may be postponed.
4. If there is a cancellation of a batch from inlingua, the fee would be refunded in full.
5. If the student wishes to withdraw the admission due to any medical emergencies or other reasons, then the same can be done only before the batch start date. A processing fee of Rs 2500/- will be deducted before on such refunds. After the batch start date, no refunds will be provided.
6. inlingua reserves the right to change the trainer of any ongoing batch at any point in time.
7. In the case of private classes, the start dates and end dates would have to be strictly adhered to. Any missed classes/reschedulings have to be completed with in the same month and cannot be carried forward. The end date will not be changed for any reason.
8. Any class cancellations/rescheduling for private classes have to be informed at least one day in advance. If the same is informed on the day of the class or if the trainer has logged in and the student does not show up for the class, then he/she is marked absent and no compensation class will be provided.
9. A minimum attendance of 80% is required to be eligible to take up the inlingua examination at the end of the course.
10. All back up/missed classes will be charged at the rate of Rs 800/- per hour. Such sessions will be planned and executed solely based on the schedule provided by inlingua only.
11. Video recordings are not part of the course. The same, if any, will be shared only on discretion, and the same, if any links shared will expire after a maximum period of 15 days
12. Transfer from one batch to another batch or transfer of course from one individual to another individual would be entertained only before the commencement of the course. The same would be decided based on the availability of seats in the desired batch.
13. Under no circumstances will the postponement of the final exam date would be entertained. However, students who are unable to take up examination on the allotted date will have to pay an additional fee of Rs 2500/- towards examination charges.
14. A copy of the certificate will be emailed within 10 working days from the date of examination. A printed copy of the certificate can be collected from the office after placing a written request for the same.

11. What is the batch size?
inlingua group classes have an ideal batch size of 10 to 12 students per batch and not exceeding a maximum strength of 15 students per batch.
12. What are the benefits of learning a new language?
It’s a proven fact that learning a new language activates new neural pathways in the brain, increases IQ, improves memory and enhances decision making skills and sharpens the mind. Apart from it, knowledge of a new language helps in placements, jobs, career progression, travel, visa, university admissions etc.
13. Who can learn a new language?
School going children who need help in languages, college students, working adults, professionals, corporate, academic institutions, home makers, job seekers and any individual who wishes to improve their language fluency or learn a new language can enrol in the inlingua programs.
Anyone in the age group of 8 to 14 years can enrol in the Kids batches. Anyone from 14 years and above can enrol in the regular batches.
Online Classes
1. What are the technical requirements to attend the online classes?
A laptop or a smart phone with a good Internet connectivity is all that you require. A good quality headset, microphone and a camera helps. The classes will be held in an audio video conferencing mode and there will be a white board and screen sharing option with a facility to chat, interact, ask questions and engage in conversations. The classes are highly interactive.
2. Can I Login from any device?
Yes, the students can login on their laptops or smart phones and attend the classes.
3. How do I enrol to a batch?
Visit www.inlinguabangalore.com and click on “Online Classes” and signup on the platform.
Select the correct batch, go through the details, click on “Enrol now” button, complete the payment procedures and you will be successfully enrolled into the batch.
4. How do I attend the online classes?
Visit www.inlinguabangalore.com and click on “Online Classes” and login to the online training platform using the email id and password used while signing up.
After you login, follow the below steps.
Step 1: Go to “My classes” on the top right hand side of the menu. Select “Group classes”.
Step 2: You can now see the batch you have enrolled into. Please select “Start learning”.
Step 3: Select “Start class”. This will direct you to Zoom. A dialogue box pops up, please select “Open zoom meeting”.
Step 4: Please wait for a few minutes for the application to load.
Step 5: Select “Join from computer audio/Call in/Dial in”.
Wait for the trainer to login first.
Once you are in the classroom, keep yourself muted. Avoid disturbances when the trainer is teaching and unmute your self only when specifically asked to.
5. What if I have issues logging in to the class?
1. Please check if the password entered is correct and use the “Forgot password” option if required.
2. Check if the browser version that you are currently using is updated to the latest version and the pop-ups are not blocked on the browser. Some of the old browsers may need to be manually configured to allow pop-ups. Wherever possible use Google Chrome instead of Safari and Internet explorer.
3. Check if the internet connection is working fine.
Payments and Refunds
1. What are the payment options?
Payments can be made online on the website either through credit card, debit card or bank transfer.

3. What is the refund policy?
The fee is refunded only if inlingua is unable to start the batches as listed on the website. If the student wishes to withdraw his/her admission before the course start date, then a refund charge of Rs 2500/- is deducted. An email has to be sent to info@inlinguabangalore.com requesting the same.
Once the classes commence and the student attends the class, then there is no refund provided.
4. For how long is the course fee valid?
The course fee once paid is valid for a period of 6 months within which the student has to take up the course. The same cannot be transferred to another student.
5. Is there an installment facility available?
We provide an EMI option where you can choose to defer your payments over a period of 3 to 24 months. You can choose this option when making the online payment through your card on our platform.
Batch Transfers
1.What if the student wants to move to a new batch after registering?
If the batch transfer is before the commencement of the batch, the student is transferred without any additional charges.
If the transfer is requested after the commencement of the batch, then a sum of Rs 1000/- is applicable towards the same. The transfer has to be done within a maximum of 10 hours after the course commencement or within the first week from the batch start date.
2. What happens if the student wants to transfer to a new batch for the second time?
We normally do not encourage the transfer for the second time. If there are any medical reasons or changes in work timings etc, then again an additional sum of Rs 1000/- is collected. Again, this is allowed within the maximum of first one week and not after that.
3. What happens if the student wants to transfer after the first week?
Batch transfer is allowed only within the first week. If the request comes after the first week, then it will be considered as a fresh registration and 50% of the course fee is applicable. This is applicable only before the completion of 50% of the classes.
4. What happens if the student wants a transfer after the 50% of the course is completed?
Then it would be considered as a fresh registration and full course fee needs to be paid for transfers after 50% of the classes are completed.
5. What is the maximum period within which the transfer can happen?
The batch transfers can be done within a maximum of 6 months from the registration date. The course fee stands cancelled after 6 months and no refunds or batch transfers provided after the duration of 6 months from the date of registration.
6. What if the batch that I am looking at is not available?
The students can obtain a transfer to any of the batches as listed on our website only. The students cannot wait for new batches to be announced or cannot wait without being assigned to any one of the batches.
Student Queries
1. What if a student wants to enrol for a higher level?
The student should produce a valid certificate from inlingua or Goethe/Testdaf for a direct admission to the higher levels with a validity of not more than 6 months. If the student is unable to produce the same, then inlingua conducts an internal test to ascertain if the student can be given admission into the higher levels directly.
2. What if the student wants a change in batch timings?
The student has to send an email to info@inlinguabangalore.com clearly stating the reason for the same. The office will decide if the change in batch/timings can be provided based on various factors including the availability of seats in the other batches etc.
3. What if a student discontinues the classes in between the course?
The student has to send an email explaining the same to info@inlinguabangalore.com and the office will decide if the student can reenrol in a future batch. However, the fee once paid is valid only for a maximum period of 6 months within which the student has to complete the course and not later than that.
4. What happens if a student misses the class? Are class recordings provided?
No. There are no class recordings provided. The student has to refer to the notes and videos on the library section of the website. These are live instructor led classes which are highly interactive and we would want the students to attend and participate in the live class. In case of absenteeism, then the students can refer to the library section for videos and notes.
5. What happens if the student is continuously absent from the classes?
If the student misses more than 6 hours of classes continuously without informing the office, then the student’s admission stands cancelled. Please write an email to info@inlinguabangalore.com in advance to keep us informed. An alternate batch would be provided only based on the availability of batches and seats.
6. What if the student wants to transfer to a different batch after enrolling?
We suggest the student chooses the right batch before making the payment and enrolls. In case, the student wants to move to a different batch, it has to be done before the course start date or within one week from the course start date, provided the other batch that the student wants to enroll into has seats available. In case, the transfer happens after one week from the course start date, there would be a batch transfer fee of Rs 1000/- to be paid. After one transfer, in case the student wants another transfer, then there would be a charge of Rs 2500/- to be paid.
7. Do you provide placements?
We work with all the leading corporates in India and outside and sometimes these companies are looking for trained language specialists. Whenever there is such a requirement, we connect them with our students. We assist in placements wherever possible, however, we do not guarantee placements as we are a language training organisation.
8. What is the procedure to enroll for the higher levels? Is there a test that I need to give?
If you have completed your language course within the last 6 months and have a recognized International certificate from Goethe, Alliance Francaise etc, then you can directly enroll into the next level batch. You need to submit a copy of your certificate for admission. If you have completed your language course prior to the last 6 months, then you would have to take a placement test available on our website and take a screenshot of the results and submit the same to us. This test will determine your appropriate language level. If required we will follow it up with an oral assessment with our language trainers.
9. What exams are available for each language? Does inlingua train us in exam preparation?
The following International exams are available for the students once they complete the training. The students have to directly approach these examination centers and take up the exams. inlingua provides training and all our students are able to clear these exams with our training. We also provide training in exam preparation and help our students solve a mock exam paper during the training.
German Language:

• Goethe Zertifikat – Exams conducted by Goethe institute for all levels A1 to C2
• TestDaf exams are advanced level exmas covering B2 to C1 levels and conducted by Goethe Institute

TCF is useful for all purposes (personal, academic, or professional). All TEF and TCF exams have a limited validity of two years.
Spanish Language:
• inlingua International exams conducted by inlingua centers
• DELE (The Diplomas de Español Como Lengua Extranjera) exams are conducted by Cervantes Institute on behalf of the Spanish Government for levels A1 to C2 and these certificates have a life long validity.
• SIELE (Servicio Internacional de Evaluación de la Lengua Española) exams are conducted by Cervantes Institute in collaboration with the National Autonomous University of Mexico, the University of Salamanca and the University of Buenos Aires for levels A1 to C1 and have a validity of 2 years
• CELU (Certificado de Español: Lengua y Uso) conducted by Ministry of Education of Argentina for levels B2 to C1 and the certificates have a lifetime validity. They are a requirement for foreign students wishing to enroll in an Argentinian university.

The JLPT has five levels: N1, N2, N3, N4 and N5. The easiest level is N5 and the most difficult level is N1. Get preferential treatment on your immigration to Japan

Mandarin language:
• HSK(Chinese proficiency test) is the short form for Hanyu (Chinese) Shuiping (Level) Kaoshi (test). There are six HSK test levels: level I, II, III, IV, V, and VI corresponding to A1, A2,B1,B2,C1,C2 levels. The certificates you will obtain from HSK are valid for a lifetime. However, in most cases, it will be useful for two years as a certification for international students to enter a college or university in China.
Exams and Certificates
1. How are inlingua exams conducted?
Exams are conducted online on the last day of the batch. The final 2 hours of the class is reserved for exams.
2. What are the requirements for attending the exam?
The student should have completed the inlingua training program with a minimum attendance of 80% to take up the exams
3. Who can take the inlingua exams? Can external students take the exams?
Only students who have completed the training at inlingua centre’s can take the inlingua exam.
4. How are certificates issued?
Digital copy of the certificates will be emailed to the students within 2 weeks from the date of completion of the exams provided the student has successfully cleared the exam.
5. Are inlingua certificates recognised?
Yes, inlingua certificates are recognised and inlingua German certificates are accepted by the German embassy in Bangalore for student visa and work visa. For other visa categories, please check with the embassy directly.
Universities and corporates across the globe recognise the inlingua certificates for admission to higher education or for job. However, we request you to check with the particular university and confirm as each institution’s requirements could be different.
6. What is the passing score for the exams?
The students should obtain 50% and above in all the sections of the exam to pass. Even if the student fails by a single mark, it is considered a fail and there is no grace marks given. If the student obtains zero marks in any of the section and scores excellent marks in other sections, it is considered as fail, and the student should appear for re exams.
7. What happens if the student does not clear the exam?
The student is not issued a certificate if he/she does not pass the exams with the minimum marks required. The student can then reapply for the exam by paying a fee of Rs 2500/-
8. What is the validity of the certificates?
There is no expiry date for the inlingua certificates. However, the corporates/ universities may look for a certificate dated no longer than 2 years.
If the student is applying for the higher level then a certificate dated no longer than 6 months maybe required.
9. Can I see a sample copy of the certificate/ question paper?
Yes, a sample copy of the certificate and question paper is available under the library section. The library section can be accessed once you register for any of our classes.
10. What is the exam format?
inlingua exams have 5 sections and cover all 5 areas of language learning namely reading, writing, listening, speaking, grammar. The format is as below:
11.What happens if a student loses the certificate or wants a new certificate issued either due to name change or any other reasons?
A new certificate will be issued for a fee of Rs 2500/- provided the student has passed out of inlingua in the last 2 years and not later than that.
12. What if the student cannot take the exam on the assigned date?
Then the student has to write an email to info@inlinguabangalore.com explaining the reason for not taking the exam on the given date. The office will decide if an alternate date can be provided for the exam. If the student fails to write the exam on the specified dates allotted then the student has to pay an exam fee of Rs 2500/- and take the exams.
13. What’s the maximum time period within which the student is expected to write the exam?
The student has to ensure that they take the exam within a maximum of 3 months from the end date of the batch and not later than that.
14. How can I collect a printed copy of the certificate?
Only digital copies of the certificate are issued by the office. A printed copy can be collected in person by paying a fee of Rs 500/- . The same will not be couriered.
Flex-e-Book / Digital Books
1. What is inlingua flex-e-book?
inlingua flex-e-book is the digital version of the standard printed version of inlingua books available for download on a app.
2. How can I access the flex-e-book app?
The inlingua customer can download the ‘inlingua flex-e-book’ app from the App Store (free of charge). The app has been developed exclusively for Android (PlayStore) and Apple/iOS (App Store) operating systems on smartphones and tablets. Apple devices must have at least iOS version 11.0 to benefit from all the features.
Once the app is installed the specific e-book can be downloaded by entering the download code provided by the center. To avoid download errors the internet connection should be very stable, a WLAN connection is recommended. Please check in advance to be sure the device has enough free memory space for the size and number of books. A full standard book, for example, is over 100 MB.
3. Can I use the app with my iPhone or Android Smartphone?
Yes! With the latest versions (3.3) for Android and iOS it is now possible to download flex-e-books onto smartphones. Switching from portrait to landscape format and zooming in to a page allows for a better reading experience.
4. Do I need an internet connection to work with the flex-e-book?
You need an internet connection to download the e-book, preferably a WLAN. Once the book has been mounted in your device you can work with it anywhere, anytime, even without internet or mobile connection
5. Which operating systems are supported?
The app has been developed for iOS from version 11.0 or later and Android, version 4.0.4 or later. Windows, Amazon/Kindle and other operating systems are not supported.
6. Are the audios integrated?
Yes, the audios can be accessed by clicking the audio symbol near the specific texts and exercises.
7. Are there any exercises with interactivity?
Yes, there are a multitude of interactive exercises (Fill in the gaps, Match pairs, True/False, Marking/Ticking, Crosswords etc.).
8. Can I download the e-book onto several devices with one download code?
No, for copyright reasons the download code is unique and can be used for one single device only. For the same reason a transfer from one device onto another is not possible.
9. How long can I use my e-books ? Is there an expiration date?
There is no expiration date for a specific e-book. As long as the app is installed on the device, all downloaded e-books will be available for study. However, they can’t be transferred to a new or another device.
10. Which books are currently available for the flex-e-book app?
German, French, Spanish, English, Italian language books are available. Latest editions and versions across all levels from Level 1 to level 3 (Level A1 to B2.2) are available for download.

The beook app is a platform for digital teaching material provided by several publishing houses, educational establishments, organizations and authors. inlingua has joined the platform to offer inlingua clients a full range of features going far beyond what the flex-e-book has offered so far.
beook is more than just an e-book: full text search, display of continuous text, multimedia, integrated exercises, personal pages, updates without data loss.
beook is available on all usual platforms: tablet and iPad, Android and Windows, laptops and PCs, both with Windows and Mac OS X operating systems. Moreover, it also works in offline mode.
Creating a personal beook account will allow use of the e-books on up to 3 devices.

3. How can I get access to inlingua material on the new beook platform?

5. How do I download my inlingua book?
Once you have downloaded the beook app on your device, inlingua will email you the activation code for the book. This you will receive on the first day of the class on your email id provided. Enter the activation code on the beook platform and you can download the book.
Kids Batches
1. What are inlingua kids programs?
inlingua Bangalore conducts programs in French, German, Spanish languages for kids and this is open to all children in the age group of 7 years to 11 years.
2. What are the levels and duration of these programs?
To make it easier for the children, these programs are divided into A1.1 and A1.2 levels and each level is for duration of 35 hours. The timings for these batches are announced on the website.
3. What is the batch size?
We normally have 8 to 10 children per batch. Sometimes it goes up to a maximum of 15 students in a batch.

5. Is there exam and a certificate given?
Yes, a test will be conducted on the final day of the class. Participation certificate is issued to all students.

1. Who can enroll for the inlingua private classes?
Anyone who is looking for a one on one, training with the instructor can enroll to a private batch. We have school children wanting help in their school curriculum or students preparing for exams, adults travelling abroad or learners who are looking at flexible timings or those who want to take classes at their own pace.
2. For what languages are the private classes available?
Private classes are available for any of the 30+ Indian and international languages that is listed on our website.
3. What is the fee and duration for private classes?
The fee for private classes will be charged on a per hour basis. The minimum duration to enroll into a private class is 10 hours post which the same could be renewed in multiple of 10 hours package. The fee is listed on our website under the “other languages” section.
4. What is the timings for private classes?
The private classes can be scheduled at a time slot that is mutually convenient for both the trainer and the learner.
5. Are there exams and certificates given to private class students?
Yes, exams are conducted on the final day of the class and either a course completion certificate or a participation certificate will be issued to the students.

3. What is the difference between CEF levels and ALTE guidelines? Do inlingua programs adhere to CEF and ALTE guidelines?
The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, often referred to as CEFR or CEFRL or CEF, is an international guideline used to describe achievements of learners of foreign languages across Europe and, increasingly, in other countries. The Common European Framework divides learners into three broad divisions that can be divided into six levels; for each level, it describes what a learner is supposed to be able to do in reading, listening, speaking and writing. The following table indicates these levels.
inlingua levels and materials correspond to the CEF levels.
ALTE (Association of Language test providers in Europe) is an association of language test providers who work together to promote the fair and accurate assessment of linguistic ability across Europe and beyond. ALTE has established a set of common standards which cover all the stages of the language testing process. These standards can be applied to exams of any language, and ensure the quality of examinations.
inlingua Bangalore Examinations are conducted 100% in accordance with the ALTE standards. Please find the copy of the letter from inlingua International confirming the same.
4. Are inlingua trainers certified ?
Yes, inlingua has a team of highly experienced, professional trainers comprising of both Indians and native speakers. All our trainers are certified in the inlingua method of teaching languages. Many of them have travelled widely or lived in different countries and are exposed to the language and culture of the place. They all have native or near native language fluency in their respective languages combined with a high level certification in the language they are teaching.
5. Does inlingua train in exam preparation ?
Yes, inlingua provides training for the below mentioned examinations. Students who enroll for our regular language programs would be able to appear for these examinations. Apart from the regular group classes, customised, one-on-one training for specific exam preparation is also available.
German Language: Goethe – Zertifikate, Test DaF.

6. What is the Fee structure for the inlingua programs ?
Please contact our office for the fee structure or refer the website. The fee is available in the batch schedules on the language section. inlingua course fee includes the exam and inlingua certification charges.
7. Does inlingua provide Demo classes ?
Yes, demo class is provided for the online courses. The first session can be attended using the demo coupon code issued by the office post which the student can enrol for the batch by completing the online payment procedures. The seats are filled on a first come, first served basis.
8. What is the age limit for inlingua classes?
Regular inlingua programs are designed for adults. Children above the age of 12 years can attend our regular programs in both classroom and Virtual classrooms. There are seperate customised programs available for children in the age group of 7 years to 11 years.
9. What are the inlingua Terms & Conditions?
1. The course fee must be paid in full at least 7days prior to the commencement of the course. Admission would be given on a first come first serve basis.
2. Fee once paid is valid for a period of six months before which the course has to be completed or else the admission stands canceled and the fee will not be refunded.
3. The minimum number of students required to start a group batch is 8. If there are inadequate registrations, the batch may be postponed.
4. If there is a cancellation of a batch from inlingua, the fee would be refunded in full.
5. If the student wishes to withdraw the admission due to any medical emergencies or other reasons, then the same can be done only before the batch start date. A processing fee of Rs 2500/- will be deducted before on such refunds. After the batch start date, no refunds will be provided.
6. inlingua reserves the right to change the trainer of any ongoing batch at any point in time.
7. In the case of private classes, the start dates and end dates would have to be strictly adhered to. Any missed classes/reschedulings have to be completed with in the same month and cannot be carried forward. The end date will not be changed for any reason.
8. Any class cancellations/rescheduling for private classes have to be informed at least one day in advance. If the same is informed on the day of the class or if the trainer has logged in and the student does not show up for the class, then he/she is marked absent and no compensation class will be provided.
9. A minimum attendance of 80% is required to be eligible to take up the inlingua examination at the end of the course.
10. All back up/missed classes will be charged at the rate of Rs 800/- per hour. Such sessions will be planned and executed solely based on the schedule provided by inlingua only.
11. Video recordings are not part of the course. The same, if any, will be shared only on discretion, and the same, if any links shared will expire after a maximum period of 15 days
12. Transfer from one batch to another batch or transfer of course from one individual to another individual would be entertained only before the commencement of the course. The same would be decided based on the availability of seats in the desired batch.
13. Under no circumstances will the postponement of the final exam date would be entertained. However, students who are unable to take up examination on the allotted date will have to pay an additional fee of Rs 2500/- towards examination charges.
14. A copy of the certificate will be emailed within 10 working days from the date of examination. A printed copy of the certificate can be collected from the office after placing a written request for the same.
15. inlingua reserves the right to make changes to the offers and schedules as necessary. inlingua is not responsible for the privacy and confidentiality of online transactions.
11. What is the batch size?
inlingua group classes have an ideal batch size of 10 to 12 students per batch and not exceeding a maximum strength of 15 students per batch.
12. What are the benefits of learning a new language?
It’s a proven fact that learning a new language activates new neural pathways in the brain, increases IQ, improves memory and enhances decision making skills and sharpens the mind. School going children who need help in languages, college students, working adults, professionals, corporate, academic institutions, home makers, job seekers and any individual who wishes to improve their language fluency or learn a new language can enrol in the inlingua programs.
Anyone in the age group of 8 to 14 years can enrol in the Kids batches. Anyone from 14 years and above can enrol in the regular batches.
Online Classes
1. What are the technical requirements to attend the online classes?
A laptop or a smart phone with a good Internet connectivity is all that you require. A good quality headset, microphone and a camera helps. The classes will be held in an audio video conferencing mode and there will be a white board and screen sharing option with a facility to chat, interact, ask questions and engage in conversations. The classes are highly interactive.
2. Can I Login from any device?
Yes, the students can login on their laptops or smart phones and attend the classes.
3. How do I enrol to a batch?
Visit www.inlinguabangalore.com and click on “Online Classes” and signup on the platform.
Select the correct batch, go through the details, click on “Enrol now” button, complete the payment procedures and you will be successfully enrolled into the batch.
4. How do I attend the online classes?
Visit www.inlinguabangalore.com and click on “Online Classes” and login to the online training platform using the email id and password used while signing up.
After you login, follow the below steps.
Step 1: Go to “My classes” on the top right hand side of the menu. Select “Group classes”.
Step 2: You can now see the batch you have enrolled into. Please select “Start learning”.
Step 3: Select “Start class”. This will direct you to Zoom. A dialogue box pops up, please select “Open zoom meeting”.
Step 4: Please wait for a few minutes for the application to load.
Step 5: Select “Join from computer audio/Call in/Dial in”.
Wait for the trainer to login first.
Once you are in the classroom, keep yourself muted. Avoid disturbances when the trainer is teaching and unmute your self only when specifically asked to.

3. What is the refund policy?
The fee is refunded only if inlingua is unable to start the batches as listed on the website. If the student wishes to withdraw his/her admission before the course start date, then a refund charge of Rs 2500/- is deducted. An email has to be sent to info@inlinguabangalore.com requesting the same.
Once the classes commence and the student attends the class, then there is no refund provided.
4. For how long is the course fee valid?
The course fee once paid is valid for a period of 6 months within which the student has to take up the course. The same cannot be transferred to another student.
5. Is there an installment facility available?
We provide an EMI option where you can choose to defer your payments over a period of 3 to 24 months. You can choose this option when making the online payment through your card on our platform.
Batch Transfers
1.What if the student wants to move to a new batch after registering?
If the batch transfer is before the commencement of the batch, the student is transferred without any additional charges.
If the transfer is requested after the commencement of the batch, then a sum of Rs 1000/- is applicable towards the same. The transfer has to be done within a maximum of 10 hours after the course commencement or within the first week from the batch start date.
2. What happens if the student wants to transfer to a new batch for the second time?
We normally do not encourage the transfer for the second time. If there are any medical reasons or changes in work timings etc, then again an additional sum of Rs 1000/- is collected. Again, this is allowed within the maximum of first one week and not after that.
3. What happens if the student wants to transfer after the first week?
Batch transfer is allowed only within the first week. If the request comes after the first week, then it will be considered as a fresh registration and 50% of the course fee is applicable. This is applicable only before the completion of 50% of the classes.
4. What happens if the student wants a transfer after the 50% of the course is completed?
Then it would be considered as a fresh registration and full course fee needs to be paid for transfers after 50% of the classes are completed.
5. What is the maximum period within which the transfer can happen?
The batch transfers can be done within a maximum of 6 months from the registration date. The course fee stands cancelled after 6 months and no refunds or batch transfers provided after the duration of 6 months from the date of registration.
6. What if the batch that I am looking at is not available?
The students can obtain a transfer to any of the batches as listed on our website only. The students cannot wait for new batches to be announced or cannot wait without being assigned to any one of the batches.
Student Queries
1. What if a student wants to enrol for a higher level?
The student should produce a valid certificate from inlingua or Goethe/Testdaf for a direct admission to the higher levels with a validity of not more than 6 months. If the student is unable to produce the same, then inlingua conducts an internal test to ascertain if the student can be given admission into the higher levels directly.
2. What if the student wants a change in batch timings?
The student has to send an email to info@inlinguabangalore.com clearly stating the reason for the same. The office will decide if the change in batch/timings can be provided based on various factors including the availability of seats in the other batches etc.
3. What if a student discontinues the classes in between the course?
The student has to send an email explaining the same to info@inlinguabangalore.com and the office will decide if the student can reenrol in a future batch. However, the fee once paid is valid only for a maximum period of 6 months within which the student has to complete the course and not later than that.
4. What happens if a student misses the class? Are class recordings provided?
No. There are no class recordings provided. The student has to refer to the notes and videos on the library section of the website. These are live instructor led classes which are highly interactive and we would want the students to attend and participate in the live class. In case of absenteeism, then the students can refer to the library section for videos and notes.
5. What happens if the student is continuously absent from the classes?
If the student misses more than 6 hours of classes continuously without informing the office, then the student’s admission stands cancelled. Please write an email to info@inlinguabangalore.com in advance to keep us informed. An alternate batch would be provided only based on the availability of batches and seats.
6. What if the student wants to transfer to a different batch after enrolling?
We suggest the student chooses the right batch before making the payment and enrolls. In case, the student wants to move to a different batch, it has to be done before the course start date or within one week from the course start date, provided the other batch that the student wants to enroll into has seats available. In case, the transfer happens after one week from the course start date, there would be a batch transfer fee of Rs 1000/- to be paid. After one transfer, in case the student wants another transfer, then there would be a charge of Rs 2500/- to be paid.
7. Do you provide placements?
We work with all the leading corporates in India and outside and sometimes these companies are looking for trained language specialists. Whenever there is such a requirement, we connect them with our students. We assist in placements wherever possible, however, we do not guarantee placements as we are a language training organisation.
8. What is the procedure to enroll for the higher levels? Is there a test that I need to give?
If you have completed your language course within the last 6 months and have a recognized International certificate from Goethe, Alliance Francaise etc, then you can directly enroll into the next level batch. You need to submit a copy of your certificate for admission. If you have completed your language course prior to the last 6 months, then you would have to take a placement test available on our website and take a screenshot of the results and submit the same to us. This test will determine your appropriate language level. If required we will follow it up with an oral assessment with our language trainers.
9. What exams are available for each language? Does inlingua train us in exam preparation?
The following International exams are available for the students once they complete the training. The students have to directly approach these examination centers and take up the exams. inlingua provides training and all our students are able to clear these exams with our training. We also provide training in exam preparation and help our students solve a mock exam paper during the training.
German Language:
• inlingua International exams conducted by inlingua centers
• Goethe Zertifikat – Exams conducted by Goethe institute for all levels A1 to C2
• TestDaf exams are advanced level exmas covering B2 to C1 levels and conducted by Goethe Institute
• Telc(The European Language Certificates) Exams conducted by Telc authorised centers
• DSH (Deutsche Sprachpruefung fuer den Hochschulzugang) – These exams are conducted in Germany
• The Deutsches Sprachdiplom (level II) of the standing conference of the Ministers of Education and cultural affairs offered to children at participating secondary schools
• “DTZ” (Deutschtest fuer Zuwanderer) – The German Test for Immigrants (DTZ) – exams conducted in Germany by the German Government for A2 and B1 levels
French Language:

• TELC (The European Language Certificates) exams
• TCF (Test de Connaissance du Français) It is administered by the Centre international d’études pédagogiques (CIEP) on behalf of the French Ministry of Education for those who seek emigration in Canada, Quebec or France. TCF is useful for all purposes (personal, academic, or professional). All TEF and TCF exams have a limited validity of two years.
Spanish Language:
• inlingua International exams conducted by inlingua centers
• DELE (The Diplomas de Español Como Lengua Extranjera) exams are conducted by Cervantes Institute on behalf of the Spanish Government for levels A1 to C2 and these certificates have a life long validity.
• SIELE (Servicio Internacional de Evaluación de la Lengua Española) exams are conducted by Cervantes Institute in collaboration with the National Autonomous University of Mexico, the University of Salamanca and the University of Buenos Aires for levels A1 to C1 and have a validity of 2 years
• CELU (Certificado de Español: Lengua y Uso) conducted by Ministry of Education of Argentina for levels B2 to C1 and the certificates have a lifetime validity. They are a requirement for foreign students wishing to enroll in an Argentinian university.
• TELC(The European Language Certificates) exams.
English Language:
The following English language tests are available for students:

• IELTS – International English Language Testing System jointly managed by British council and IDP
• TOEFL – Test of English as a Foreign Language
• TOEIC – The Test of English for International Communication conducted by ETS(Education Testing Service), American organisation
• Cambridge exams conducted by Cambridge university and accepted world over

Japanese language:
• JLPT (The Japanese-Language Proficiency Test) is conducted under joint organization of the Japan Foundation and Japan Educational Exchanges and Services. The JLPT has five levels: N1, N2, N3, N4 and N5. The easiest level is N5 and the most difficult level is N1. Get preferential treatment on your immigration to Japan
• NAT-TEST conducted only in Japan and China
Mandarin language:
• HSK(Chinese proficiency test) is the short form for Hanyu (Chinese) Shuiping (Level) Kaoshi (test). There are six HSK test levels: level I, II, III, IV, V, and VI corresponding to A1, A2,B1,B2,C1,C2 levels. The certificates you will obtain from HSK are valid for a lifetime. However, in most cases, it will be useful for two years as a certification for international students to enter a college or university in China.
Exams and Certificates
1. How are inlingua exams conducted?
Exams are conducted online on the last day of the batch. The final 2 hours of the class is reserved for exams.
2. What are the requirements for attending the exam?
The student should have completed the inlingua training program with a minimum attendance of 80% to take up the exams
3. Who can take the inlingua exams? Can external students take the exams?
Only students who have completed the training at inlingua centre’s can take the inlingua exam.
4. How are certificates issued?
Digital copy of the certificates will be emailed to the students within 2 weeks from the date of completion of the exams provided the student has successfully cleared the exam.
5. Are inlingua certificates recognised?
Yes, inlingua certificates are recognised and inlingua German certificates are accepted by the German embassy in Bangalore for student visa and work visa. For other visa categories, please check with the embassy directly.
Universities and corporates across the globe recognise the inlingua certificates for admission to higher education or for job. However, we request you to check with the particular university and confirm as each institution’s requirements could be different.
6. What is the passing score for the exams?
The students should obtain 50% and above in all the sections of the exam to pass. Even if the student fails by a single mark, it is considered a fail and there is no grace marks given. If the student obtains zero marks in any of the section and scores excellent marks in other sections, it is considered as fail, and the student should appear for re exams.
7. What happens if the student does not clear the exam?
The student is not issued a certificate if he/she does not pass the exams with the minimum marks required. The student can then reapply for the exam by paying a fee of Rs 2500/-
8. What is the validity of the certificates?
There is no expiry date for the inlingua certificates. However, the corporates/ universities may look for a certificate dated no longer than 2 years.
If the student is applying for the higher level then a certificate dated no longer than 6 months maybe required.
9. Can I see a sample copy of the certificate/ question paper?
Yes, a sample copy of the certificate and question paper is available under the library section. The library section can be accessed once you register for any of our classes.
10. What is the exam format?
inlingua exams have 5 sections and cover all 5 areas of language learning namely reading, writing, listening, speaking, grammar. The format is as below:
11.What happens if a student loses the certificate or wants a new certificate issued either due to name change or any other reasons?
A new certificate will be issued for a fee of Rs 2500/- provided the student has passed out of inlingua in the last 2 years and not later than that.
12. What if the student cannot take the exam on the assigned date?
Then the student has to write an email to info@inlinguabangalore.com explaining the reason for not taking the exam on the given date. The office will decide if an alternate date can be provided for the exam. If the student fails to write the exam on the specified dates allotted then the student has to pay an exam fee of Rs 2500/- and take the exams.
13. What’s the maximum time period within which the student is expected to write the exam?
The student has to ensure that they take the exam within a maximum of 3 months from the end date of the batch and not later than that.
14. How can I collect a printed copy of the certificate?
Only digital copies of the certificate are issued by the office. A printed copy can be collected in person by paying a fee of Rs 500/- . The same will not be couriered.
Flex-e-Book / Digital Books
1. What is inlingua flex-e-book?
inlingua flex-e-book is the digital version of the standard printed version of inlingua books available for download on a app.
2. How can I access the flex-e-book app?
The inlingua customer can download the ‘inlingua flex-e-book’ app from the App Store (free of charge). The app has been developed exclusively for Android (PlayStore) and Apple/iOS (App Store) operating systems on smartphones and tablets. Apple devices must have at least iOS version 11.0 to benefit from all the features.
Once the app is installed the specific e-book can be downloaded by entering the download code provided by the center. To avoid download errors the internet connection should be very stable, a WLAN connection is recommended. Please check in advance to be sure the device has enough free memory space for the size and number of books. A full standard book, for example, is over 100 MB.
3. Can I use the app with my iPhone or Android Smartphone?
Yes! With the latest versions (3.3) for Android and iOS it is now possible to download flex-e-books onto smartphones. Switching from portrait to landscape format and zooming in to a page allows for a better reading experience.
4. Do I need an internet connection to work with the flex-e-book?
You need an internet connection to download the e-book, preferably a WLAN. Once the book has been mounted in your device you can work with it anywhere, anytime, even without internet or mobile connection
5. Which operating systems are supported?
The app has been developed for iOS from version 11.0 or later and Android, version 4.0.4 or later. Windows, Amazon/Kindle and other operating systems are not supported.
6. Are the audios integrated?
Yes, the audios can be accessed by clicking the audio symbol near the specific texts and exercises.
7. Are there any exercises with interactivity?
Yes, there are a multitude of interactive exercises (Fill in the gaps, Match pairs, True/False, Marking/Ticking, Crosswords etc.).
8. Can I download the e-book onto several devices with one download code?
No, for copyright reasons the download code is unique and can be used for one single device only. For the same reason a transfer from one device onto another is not possible.
9. How long can I use my e-books ? Is there an expiration date?
There is no expiration date for a specific e-book. As long as the app is installed on the device, all downloaded e-books will be available for study. However, they can’t be transferred to a new or another device.
10. Which books are currently available for the flex-e-book app?
German, French, Spanish, English, Italian language books are available. Latest editions and versions across all levels from Level 1 to level 3 (Level A1 to B2.2) are available for download.

beook/Digital books
1. What is beook?
The beook app is a platform for digital teaching material provided by several publishing houses, educational establishments, organizations and authors. inlingua has joined the platform to offer inlingua clients a full range of features going far beyond what the flex-e-book has offered so far.
beook is more than just an e-book: full text search, display of continuous text, multimedia, integrated exercises, personal pages, updates without data loss.
beook is available on all usual platforms: tablet and iPad, Android and Windows, laptops and PCs, both with Windows and Mac OS X operating systems. Moreover, it also works in offline mode.
Creating a personal beook account will allow use of the e-books on up to 3 devices.
2. Which inlingua material is available?
In this first phase of the new service, the following two titles are available:
• Deutsch 1 Schritt 1
• English 1 Step 1
The library of standard books will be extended according to the feedback and demand of the inlingua network.
3. How can I get access to inlingua material on the new beook platform?
Students will need to install the beook app on their device of choice. beook is free and available for all major platforms:

5. How do I download my inlingua book?
Once you have downloaded the beook app on your device, inlingua will email you the activation code for the book. This you will receive on the first day of the class on your email id provided. Enter the activation code on the beook platform and you can download the book.
Kids Batches
1. What are inlingua kids programs?
inlingua Bangalore conducts programs in French, German, Spanish languages for kids and this is open to all children in the age group of 7 years to 11 years.
2. What are the levels and duration of these programs?
To make it easier for the children, these programs are divided into A1.1 and A1.2 levels and each level is for duration of 35 hours. The timings for these batches are announced on the website.
3. What is the batch size?
We normally have 8 to 10 children per batch. Sometimes it goes up to a maximum of 15 students in a batch.
4. What topics are covered in these batches?

5. Is there exam and a certificate given?
Yes, a test will be conducted on the final day of the class. Participation certificate is issued to all students.
6. What happens after the A1 level?
The children can continue to the next level and enroll for the A2 batch.
Private Classes
1. Who can enroll for the inlingua private classes?
Anyone who is looking for a one on one, training with the instructor can enroll to a private batch. We have school children wanting help in their school curriculum or students preparing for exams, adults travelling abroad or learners who are looking at flexible timings or those who want to take classes at their own pace.
2. For what languages are the private classes available?
Private classes are available for any of the 30+ Indian and international languages that is listed on our website.
3. What is the fee and duration for private classes?
The fee for private classes will be charged on a per hour basis. The minimum duration to enroll into a private class is 10 hours post which the same could be renewed in multiple of 10 hours package. The fee is listed on our website under the “other languages” section.
4. What is the timings for private classes?
The private classes can be scheduled at a time slot that is mutually convenient for both the trainer and the learner.
5. Are there exams and certificates given to private class students?
Yes, exams are conducted on the final day of the class and either a course completion certificate or a participation certificate will be issued to the students.
6. How do I enroll for the private classes?
